Darul Madinah: Nurturing Young Minds and Hearts

Darul Madinah is an Ofsted-regulated Nursery and Primary School that passionately believes in fostering a collaborative partnership with parents to nurture and guide children towards their full potential. We recognize the immense significance of parental involvement in a child’s development and strive to create a supportive environment where parents and educators work together as a team.

At Darul Madinah Primary School, we offer a holistic educational experience that encompasses:

Daily Hifdh Sessions: Children embark on a journey of memorising Juzz Ammah and embark on memorising other chapters of the Quran.

Islamic Studies: Children immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Islamic knowledge, learning the blessed 99 names of Allah and engaging in daily Islamic studies lessons.

Tarbiyah Curriculum: We place a strong emphasis on our Tarbiyah curriculum, which instills in children a deep love and reverence for Allah and His beloved Prophet. Through this curriculum, we guide them to follow the commandments of Allah and the Sunnah in their daily lives..

Creative Fridays: Every Friday, our school fosters a vibrant atmosphere as children engage in a variety of hands-on activities, including baking, karate, archery, animal workshops, DIY projects, and more. Alongside these fun experiences, they also get the opportunity to participate in the joy and spiritual significance of Jummah Salah.

Our dedicated team of qualified teachers and teaching assistants ensures a nurturing and personalised learning environment:

Small Class Sizes: We maintain small class sizes to provide individual attention and foster a sense of community among our students.

Dedicated Staff: Each classroom has its own qualified teacher and teaching assistant, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive.

Our Nursery welcomes children aged 2, 3, and 4, providing flexible options to suit your needs:

Two Session Options: We offer two different sessions to accommodate your schedule: a morning session (8:25 am to 11:25 am) and an afternoon session (12:10 pm to 3:10 pm).

Full-Day Care: For those who require full-day care, we provide a nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and grow.

Admission Intakes: We have three admission intakes each year (Autumn, Spring, and Summer), with children typically joining the term after their second or third birthday.

Nursery to Reception Transition

At Darul Madinah, we are dedicated to providing a smooth and supportive transition from Nursery to Reception. Many families value the opportunity for their child to continue their early education within the same nurturing, Islamic environment.

However, it is important to note that progression from Nursery to Reception is not automatic. All children must apply through our formal admissions process. Due to limited places and high demand, we follow a structured policy to ensure fairness, transparency, and a balanced school community.

As part of the admissions process, meetings are conducted with parents to better understand each child’s needs, share important information about the Reception program, and ensure alignment with our school’s values and expectations.

Reception places are allocated based on the following criteria:

  1. 30% – Children currently attending the Darul Madinah Chalvey Nursery
We prioritise continuity of education within our school network, ensuring that children already enrolled in our Chalvey Nursery have a clear pathway into Reception.
  2. 30% – Children from the Darul Madinah Bath Road Nursery
We value the progression of children from our Bath Road branch, helping them transition into school with minimal disruption.
  3. 20%Siblings of current Darul Madinah students
While we recognise the importance of keeping families together, we can only offer a limited number of places for siblings. These are allocated fairly within the reserved percentage.
  4. 10% – Children from outside the local area
We welcome applications from families beyond our immediate vicinity and reserve a portion of spaces accordingly.
  5. 10%External applicants
These places are for children not currently connected to Darul Madinah, giving new families the opportunity to join our school community.

Due to the competitive nature of admissions, we strongly encourage parents to submit applications on time, with all required supporting documents. Late or incomplete applications may not be considered. If demand exceeds availability in any category, additional criteria such as proximity to the school or date of application may be used to allocate places fairly.

Our Reception class continues to build on the strong foundation laid in Nursery, combining academic excellence with Islamic values in a caring and inclusive setting.

For more information, please view our Reception Admissions Policy or contact our admissions office. We look forward to continuing your child’s learning journey at Darul Madinah, In sha Allah.

I joined Darul Madinah in 2018 when we established our Nursery in response to the increasing demand for an Islamic-focused early education facility in our local area. Starting with a small, dedicated team and just 12 children, we have grown steadily over the years. Today, our Nursery is at full capacity, a testament to the hard work of our staff and the strong desire from parents to provide their children with the quality education we offer.

I am immensely proud of the progress we’ve made in such a short time. Together, we have built an exceptional learning environment where our young learners are not only equipped with academic knowledge but also instilled with Islamic values that will guide them throughout their lives. Our aim is to shape these children into the future leaders of our community and beyond.

As a parent of two children enrolled at Darul Madinah, I have a personal connection to the school’s mission and a deep commitment to ensuring that every child here receives the best possible education. I am excited to continue supporting the school’s growth and development, and I look forward to the possibility of helping us expand further with the long-term goal of establishing a Secondary School in the future, In sha Allah.

I look forward to meeting and engaging with many of you—parents, caregivers, guardians, students, and staff—in the coming months. Your involvement and feedback are invaluable in shaping the future of Darul Madinah. If you have any questions or would like to reach out, please don’t hesitate to contact me through the school.

It is a privilege to lead Darul Madinah, an exceptional school that has become a cornerstone of our community since its establishment in 2018. Over the years, we have grown steadily, thanks to the dedication of our staff, the support of our parents, and our shared commitment to nurturing every child’s potential.

At Darul Madinah, we believe education goes beyond academics. Our aim is to provide a well-rounded, high-quality education grounded in Islamic values. We are proud to offer a curriculum that not only develops knowledge and skills but also builds strong character and a sense of responsibility in our students.

Our vision is to create an environment where children feel valued, supported, and inspired to excel—both academically and spiritually. We are committed to continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration as we guide our students to become confident, compassionate, and capable individuals.

I am incredibly proud of all we have achieved in a short time. Our students consistently demonstrate academic excellence and personal growth, reflecting the strength of our teaching and the supportive atmosphere we’ve built together.

I am proud to share that my own son is a student at Darul Madinah, and his experience has been truly remarkable. He has not only gained a strong understanding of key surahs and sunnahs but also flourished in an environment that supports his faith while providing him with an excellent education.

As we look ahead, I remain committed to working closely with our directors, senior leadership team, parents, and wider community to ensure Darul Madinah continues to thrive. I warmly welcome the opportunity to connect with parents, carers, and guardians, and encourage you to reach out if you have any questions or would like to discuss your child’s education.

Together, we can continue to build a school where every child is empowered to reach their full potential and make a meaningful contribution to the world.
