HAF Programme Summer 2025

The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme is a government-funded initiative designed to support children and families during school holidays by providing access to enriching activities and nutritious meals. Its purpose is to ensure that all children—particularly those eligible for free school meals—have opportunities to stay active, eat well, and continue learning in a safe, supportive environment outside of term time.

At Darul Madinah, we proudly support the HAF initiative as part of our commitment to the wellbeing of our pupils and the wider community. By taking part, we help the government address holiday hunger, promote healthy lifestyles, and provide meaningful experiences that contribute to children’s personal development. Our programmes offer a blend of fun activities, educational enrichment, and healthy food options, ensuring that every child feels included, supported, and valued.

Our involvement in HAF also reflects the Islamic principles we uphold as a school. Islam teaches the importance of caring for others, showing compassion, and supporting those in need. Providing food, offering kindness, and ensuring no child is left without support are deeply rooted in our faith and form part of our duty as Muslims. By participating in HAF, we put these values into practice—serving our community, promoting equality, and helping every child thrive.

Fire Service Visit

We were thrilled to welcome the local fire engine and the amazing fire team to Darul Madinah! The firefighters spoke to our pupils about fire safety, the importance of community service, and how they work together to keep everyone safe. Children had the opportunity to see the fire engine up close, ask questions, and learn about the vital role the fire service plays in our community. This visit was not only educational but also helped strengthen our connection with local services and showed our pupils the value of teamwork, responsibility, and helping others.

Milad Un Nabi 2025

Our annual Milad event was a special and uplifting occasion that allowed our school community to come together in celebration. Our children took part in nasheeds, presentations, and reflections that highlighted the Prophet’s character, mercy, and teachings.

The event provided a meaningful opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of Islamic values while developing confidence and pride in their faith. We are grateful to our families and staff for their support, helping to create a serene and memorable gathering that strengthened our sense of unity and spiritual connection.
